Use Preparation H to help bring down any swelling. Change your diet to include a lot of fruits and vegetables as it will help your stool become softer. Don’t wipe so hard with bathroom tissue… in fact use the moistened tissue if you can. Anything to help with reducing irritation to the surface.
If it’s mild get some hemorrhoid cream from the pharmacy. It will help.If it is severe, see a doctor, he may prescribe something stronger
Apply hydrocortisone cream to relieve the itching/burning. Slowly increase insoluble fiber in your diet to make BM easy but not loose. Be patient, it can take years to fully heal depending on how bad they are.
Your doctor can prescribe a cortisone suppository, you use them for 5-7 days. It speeds up the initial stage of healing, but messes with your BM. You will still need time and cort cream to completely heal.
Laser procedures have become inexpensive, but you have to have a fairly advanced case for your insurance to cover it.
Oh man…these are no fun! You’re going to want to get Preparation H. Generic is fine, too. They have several kinds: ointment, cream and gel. The ointment is kind of greasy but seems to stay put better. If it’s actually poking out (TMI, I know) you might want to get the ointment with the applicator to apply some internally. The applicator should come with it and the box will tell you if it is included or not. Apply it externally, too. If not, the cream or gel would probably do the trick just externally. You would do this once in the morning, once during the day after cleansing yourself and once before bed. It will probably take about a week for it to be completely gone if it is a mild case.
You will also want to get the pads. When you’re at home relaxing (or even at work, I suppose) you can do cool compresses with these in addition to using them for cleansing purposes. For the compress, take about 3 of them and fold them in half. Apply externally and leave it in place for about 15 minutes. The active ingredient is Witch Hazel. I’m not sure how it helps, but the coolness calms down some of the pain and itching.

You can use OTC medications for relief. If it still brothers you then you might want to see a doctor and have them removed

I am taking your word – you have mild case. Seems you have not yet developed bleeding hemorrhoids.
First get relief using ice packs and free bowl movement.
For cure, you have several natural methods, which you can really do at home without having to visit a doctor.
As some one recommended earlier, have free bowl movement.

You can try sitz bath, use prep -H or over the counter ointment. You can also use hemorrhoid pillow / donut pillow.
Whatever you do , do not do any surgery or you will suffer throughout your life.
