Is hemorrhoids curable??
About 2 years now, I’ve been suffering from hemorrhoids. At first , I felt a small pile in my rectum after moving my bowel. It was as big as a string bean. I was ashame to ask anybody about it. One time, I’ve read the label of Katialis which I tried to use for skin irritations that it can also be used for hoemorroids. I tried using it but to my dismay, it got bigger so I stopped using it. Now, it is already about ¾ cm long and about 3/4cm in diameter. I’m planning to work abroad for a greener pasture but I’m very much hopeless because of my situation. Can I still get rid of this thru medication? If not, how can it be possibly be cured?

Hemorrhoids are curable as long as you treat on one side the hemorrhoids and on the other side the cause of hemorrhoids, otherwise you can with proper treatment remove the hemorrhoids but sooner or later they’ll come back.
So, the most common cause of hemorrhoids is constipation. You probably know yourself if this is your case. If yes, than take care of your constipation by adding fiber to your daily food.
Other causes of hemorrhoids are: pregnancy, overweight, overeating, acid/alkaline imbalance, vitamin B-6 deficiency, genetic predisposition and liver fatigue. Consult your doctor and make some test to determine the cause of your hemorrhoids.
Quite successful treatment of hemorrhoids is Rue Care Oil.
Whatever you decide to do, remember that a healthy colon is a must be for a healthy body, so a good colon cleansing program with proper diet will benefit to the whole body.
You’ll have to go to the doctor and have it removed.
Its about as curable as your will power allows. Straining is the sole cause of this condition. Lack of soluble fiber, and the ingestion of gluey food: wheat contains Glue-ten, and Dairy Casein (remember the Elmer’s glue mascot: a Cow!), is the cause of the straining.
Remove the cause, and you have your cure!
No..and you should talk to your doctor about stuff like that not yahoo
Go to a doctor, if it can’t be cured by medication, they can be operated on to be removed
yes, sometimes you have to have sugery to have them removed.
You really need to go to a doctor about this one.
You could always use tucks medicated pads or witch hazel on a piece of gauze for the irritation. That should tide you over until you get to a doctor. It sounds like a nice size hemorrhoid. You might want to see a physician because they can either 1.) help you get it back in or 2.) surgically remove it. I don’t think topical medicine or home remedies are going to be enough.
Only with a minor operation to remove it.
Very simple procedure done in the office with few days to recuperate……keep it clean…ext.
Not a big thing but you must see your doctor.
I agree with "texan". The best thing to do is to go to the doctor and have it removed. There are also creams and pads that can help soothe it, but the people who said it is caused by straining are 100% correct.
yes hemorrhoids can be cured…Hemorrhoids are a type of varicose vein that simply occur with age. Being constipated or passing large, hard stools may contribute to the formation of hemorrhoids. In many cases, however, there is no obvious cause. In addition to age and constipation, other contributing factors include the following:
Certain medical conditions (like cirrhosis – end stage liver disease)
Pregnancy
Sitting for prolonged periods of time
Diet low in fiber or fluids
Avoid straining during bowel movements. You can also help prevent hemorrhoids by preventing constipation. Drink plenty of fluids (at least eight glasses per day). Eat a high-fiber diet (fruits, vegetables, whole grains). You may want to consider fiber supplements.
can ease pain and discomfort during the time it takes for the hemorrhoids to heal. In addition to medications, certain lifestyle measures can help you feel better and even prevent the recurrence of hemorrhoids.Try the following approaches to reduce the pain and itching from your hemorrhoids:
Apply witch hazel with a cotton swab
Avoid pressure on the area (for example, sit on an inflatable ring).
Wear cotton undergarments
Avoid toilet tissue with perfumes or colors
Try not to scratch the area
Sit in a warm bath (or use a Sitz bath – ask your doctor) for 10 to 15 minutes 1 to 2 times per day.
Avoid straining during bowel movements.
Limit the amount of time you sit on the toiletOver-the-counter corticosteroid creams can help reduce the pain and swelling. Hemorrhoid creams with lidocaine (also available over-the-counter) can reduce pain.
Stool softeners help reduce straining and prevent hard stools.
Bulk laxatives help prevent hard stools and constipation. For cases that don’t respond to home treatments, a doctor may recommend surgery, like rubber band ligation or surgical hemorrhoidectomy. These procedures are generally used for patients with severe pain or bleeding who have not responded Most treatments for hemorrhoids are very effective. Talk with your provider if the hemorrhoids are still a problem after one to two weeks. To prevent the hemorrhoids from coming back, you will need to maintain a high-fiber diet and drink plenty of fluids. This is especially important if you get hemorrhoids often.
The blood in the enlarged veins may form clots, and the tissue surrounding the hemorrhoids can die. Hemorrhoids with clots generally require surgical removal.
Severe bleeding may also occur. Iron deficiency anemia can result from prolonged loss of blood. Significant bleeding from hemorrhoids is unusual, however.
Take some advice from a hemmorrhoid sufferer. There are some things you can do to alliviate the symptoms. First, it’s extremely important to add more fiber to your diet. Eat lots of fruits and vegatables. Drink plenty of water. Lower the amounts of diary in your diet – milk, cheese, even calcium tablets or supplements, which could lead to stiff stools. Hint:: YOU SHOULD NEVER push or strain! Tlhis could cause hemmorrhoidal flare ups!
Take warm sitz baths or mineral baths, also use petroleum jelly and hemorrohoid creams. Don’t sit or stand for long periods of time and get lots of execise.
Hemorrhoids are varicose veins and no they are not curable. There are internal, external and internal that have prolapsed and are now outside the body. You can relieve pain and itching and shrink them temporarily with OTCs like Prepartation H. You can use Tucks or Witch Hazel like the OB nurse suggested to reduce irritation. You’ve got a pretty good sized hemorrhoid. You haven’t mentioned bleeding. I strongly recommend you see your health care provider for evaluation and treatment options. These options may be topical treatments and/or surgical treatment — banding or excision.
In the meantime, increase your dietary fiber, use a stool softener like Colace (docusate sodium), increase your fluid intake and activity and try your best to avoid straining to have a BM. That may be how you got it to begin with.
Note to "purple": Hemorrhoids are varicose veins, varicose veins are broken veins. Broken veins cannot be "cured". They can be treated, they can be removed, but they cannot be "cured". They will always remain varicosed.
