I think I have hemorrhoids. is it best to go to my normal physician or my gynecologist?
I have had one for some time now, but today the pain was excruciating and I noticed I have what appears to be another one. It is so painful. In order to avoid wasting any time on curing these, should I go to my normal physician or my gynecologist? Also…any recommendations on how to ease the pain until then?
ALSO: The past two years I have been having a lot of pain during sex, almost like an internal burning sensation. I have been sexually active for over 2 years and never experienced this pain before. Could this be a result of the hemorrhoids?
(I was recently tested for STDs so those are out of the question! thx)

for the hemorrhoids, visit your regular doc!
but as for the burning, it can be a number of things. if you’re using a condom, you could be allergic to latex, or there could be a lack of lubrication that’s causing discomfort. there could also be too much pressure on your urethra or you could be pushing fluids into your urethra that causes discomfort. or perhaps a urinary tract infection. check your urine for a strange odor, discomfort while urinating, or irregular color. check with your doctor first, and if they know what it is, go from there. unless your regular physician notices something strange, in which case go to your gyno ASAP! good luck, i hope everything ends up being all right.
If STDs are out of the question…
If your partner pleasures you using his fingers, or anything with a sharp edge, that could be a factor. The internal walls from your vagina to your cervix could have a cut or is damaged somehow due to the sensitivity of the tissues in the area. If the pain is still occurring you should go see a gynecologist to better diagnose your symptoms.
If you have hem. you will have blood in your stool. Your regular physician is perfectly capable of handling this. The cure will be suppository’s. You can determine this yourself with a little self examination. Which is all I’m saying here. "A lot of pain during sex" for 2 years? Do you mean you have been having sex for 2 years and the pain just started? I don’t mean to sound cruel but if you’ve had pain during sex for 2 years you need to see a neurologist first, then a Gyn. You doctor will answer the second. Don’t wait.
