Hemorrhoid questions?
My hemorrhoids are bothering me really badly. This has been going on for a little over forty-two hours, and even though I’ve had them for about a year, I’ve never actually had any symptoms except for the occasional bleeding. (Smaller than a pea about once a month.) I have been using hemorrhoid cream everytime it gets to hard for me to handle (but it’s gotten pretty bad) and the cream won’t really make it stop…. please,
can anyone out there tell me what to do? Advice on how to sooth the burning/itching?
Thanks!

Obviously you have flared them so they are swollen & tender…you should pay close attention to your diet making sure that you have enough roughage & fiber thereby enabling smoother bowel movements this will at least help alleviate flare-ups. But for the flares (like now) you are best using the PerH ointment to help lessen the swelling thus allowing them to shrink down, using tucks, witch-hazel will also cool & calm them relieving the irritation. As someone mentioned here, the surgery is not only very uncomfortable it is not always the best choice & Dr.s generally want to avoid opting for surgery. Taking a stool softner will also help avoid future flare-ups as well as help during flares. Keeping the area very clean with warm sitzs baths is helpful as well as during the flares. Once you get the swelling down then appropriately maintain soft bowel movements via diet (roughage & fiber) & stool softners & glycerin suppositories they will tend not to flare up. a sitz bath
with Epsom salts
tucks wipes
The surgery is Awful and the recovery is 4-6wks
so it is best to avoid that
get them removed
Getting them removed is an option but a pain in the a_ _. But hey you know all about that… follow the advise of the web MD answer.
the thing with the cream , lotions whatever, is that they only treat the effect. The cause of hemorrhoids is constipation.. that is what you have to treat. I know one cure.. you start by drinking 0.5 l of water everymorning (on emptystomach, and don’t eat anything for 2 hours afterwards) for a week, than increase the quantity to 1l, 1.5, 2l and drink it for 2-3 months.. Do not interrupt the teatment though. You’ll see you won’t go to bathroom all the time, the organism doesn’t throw all the water out.. maybe in the first week, until it get used to this.. Another thing is to make clisma’s.. to clean your intestins. However, keep in mind that to get rid of hemorhoids.. you have to get rid of constipation.
