What worked for me when I had an episiotomy (cut twice) and 4th degree tear and the doctor sewed me up as far as she could reach and the nurses said that my tear was the worst one they had seen in a long time was Dermoplast. It's a numbing spray. I used it after every time I went the restroom but when my stitches were itchy, I would just spray for the relief. It's cool and refreshing. Also a cold pack between my legs helped. I would also take 2-3 Tucks pad and lay them out on the pad and then pull up my panties so the tucks pads covered all of me down there and it felt cool. I hated getting up and down because it made the itching worse, so make sure you let someone help you. Good luck!

I was going to suggest Tucks b/c those worked wonders for me when I tore but if those aren't working for you then you can try soaking your bum in a witch hazel and water solution. It's like sitting on a giant Tucks pad. I can't remember how much witch hazel per water so call your doctor about that but that should work for you. Good luck!

I know the itching is annoying but it's actually a good thing. It means you are healing. I know it's hard but hang in there it should stop soon.
