Could I have gotten hemorrhoids from giving birth to my son?
I know that it is possible, but would I have known with in a day or so after I gave birth to him or could it have taken 2 weeks to know? The reason why I ask is because I think I may have hemorrhoids and my son is 2 weeks old, and I know that some times when you are giving birth you get them.
What are the signs and symptoms of them? And should I call my doctor about it?

First of all congratulations on the birth of your son. secondly hemorrhoids are really common for women during and after pregnancy. The signs and symptoms of hemorrhoids are normally finding some blood on the toilet paper, itchiness, and perhaps a bit of pain when you sit down.
If the pain is severe you should go to your doctor, but if it is not too bad then you can easily treat your hemorrhoids at home. There are a number of steps that you can follow.
Firstly try sitting in a hot bath a couple of times a day, it’s even better if you add some sea salt to your bathwater. This helps to shrink the hemorrhoids and you will feel some relief pretty quickly.
The second thing is that you stop the blood ( if there is any) by applying vitamin K cream to the area, this also works pretty fast.
You will normally get this problem either when you are constipated or if you are putting too much pressure on your bowels. This means when you are really pushing when going to the toilet, or in the case of a pregnancy, pushing the baby out.
You need to ease the pressure on your bowels, this can be done initially through taking a laxative or starting to eat more fiber. High fiber cereals are good for this, and so are fresh vegetables.
You can also apply a cream containing Aloe Vera to the area. This is a good solution because Aloe Vera is really good for the skin.
I hope that helps, but if you would like further information on how to get rid of hemorrhoids quickly, try looking at the resource below.
Yes you should call your doctor about it. And congrats on the new baby.
