Should an employer require employees to undergo elective surgery, such as for a wart or mole, varicose veins, or hemorrhoids? (NOTE: this is NOT "cosmetic" type surgery). Why or why not?

Can I prolong without surgery for this third degree Hemorrhoids? Can I have Normal Bowel function after the surgery?

I’ve had them for several years. I’ve changed my diet and now they don’t hurt at all, but I still have external hemorrhoids and it’s embarrassing, especially when my boyfriend wants to have sex. I want to get rid of them, but I don’t have a lot of money. I was wondering if there were any medication to get rid of it, perhaps Venapro? Any suggestions, other than laser, surgery or banding?
I have the hemorrhoid ointment. I have tuck wipes.
I’ve been sitting in warm baths. I feel a little too sensitive for ice.
I’ve seen a doctor. (rather not have any surgery done.)
I don’t sit directly on my butt. I lie on my left side when sleeping.
I found a couple yoga poses that I’ll try but I am pregnant.
Anything that you’ve found that really gets rid of them fast? or faster?
Thank you. *ouch*
Hi! How do you get rid of prolapsed external hemorrhoid? Is there a way to get rid of it naturally, no surgery if you have it since you’re 8 years old and you’re 16 now? My friend got it because his grandfather and mom has it…? Thanks!
I am 20 years old and I think I have external hemorrhoids. Theres no pain but I want them gone, what can i do? Don’t make fun of me but I have looked at my butt hole and when the muscles are tight they go in but when it is relaxed the hemorrhoids show up. They are dark purple and I have seen other pictures so I am sure they are external hemorrhoids. They look like a clot and stuff. What can I do? I want them gone. They are ugly and I don’t want them to get bigger. Can I do anything other than surgery to get rid of them?
I have reaaaallly bad hemorrhoids. Theres little bumps around the opening and its very itchy. I have tried lots of things and nothing is working. I really dont wanna have surgery so what are my options?
I’m 22 and I haven’t seen a doctor yet, but I have the most painful case of hemorrhoids I swear. It started out just itching, but now it’s honestly like my anus is plugged and every time I take a crap it tears through the hemorrhoids.
I avoid goign to the bathroom without suppasotories. Last night I used them and they turned the fecal matter into mush yet it was still the worst and most painful experience yet. I still can’t sleep… COnstant throbbing. I use preparation H, but I can’t even get the applicator into the anus anymore. I don’t see the hemorrhoids from the outside, so I’m assuming these are internal.
I could go on and on but this is the most painful thing I’ve ever gone through. I don’t have health insurance right now. I’ve heard the surgery is painful, but I’m already in terrible pain. Is it costly? And does it work? I can’t keep shoving suppositories up my tooshie every time I need to go to the bathroom.
Right now I regret having surgery it was probably the worst choice I ever made in my entire life. The pain from the Hemorrhoids were nothing compared to the pain after the surgery. My first advice if you have hemorrhoids refuse any surgery for as long as possible, or at least make sure you have 4-5 Weeks free after the surgery. (Also have a few people willing to cater you during this time) The pain is so severe I end up screaming bloody murder in my College Dorms bathroom. I have a half a mind to take about 5-6 Tylenol, and 5-6 Aleve at the same time to relieve pain, and if it kills me fine it is better than this horrible pain. So I am asking is there any concoction of Pain meds that won’t kill me, but will relieve pain considerably. Don’t worry about following dosage instructions just give me the Concoctions. I am only 19 years old, and should not have to be going through this. I missed out on Thanksgiving, because the pain was so bad.
Doc did prescribe a Pain Killer, but since it causes constipation and that just makes it 10x’s worse when i go. I had to choose Constipation and it causes more pain, or no constipation, and then the pain located there. Both Pains are unbearable, but the Constipation makes it just a little worse.
link to a site that has opinions of others, and what kind of pain is involved. Some mothers who gave birth naturally found the post op of this surgery to be 10x’s worse. Imagine that for a bit.

I just had hemorrhoid surgery (staple procedure) 2 days ago and just had my first bowel movement. Afterwards my hemorrhoids seem to be the same as before the surgery. Just as large and all. Someone please let me know if this is okay and normal, orif I need to go back to the hospital.
Swollen, painful and itching hemorrhoids are a common health issue that affects millions of people every day. Many people are able to treat their condition using natural remedies and by changing their diets. In some circumstances home treatment may not be enough to help improve this problem and a doctor’s advice may be necessary.
If your condition is sever, you doctor may recommend that you undergo hemorrhoid laser surgery to improve your condition. Laser surgery is being widely used to combat many problems included the removal of hemorrhoids. Using the laser a professional can use a wide beam to destroy a large area of tissues.
Hemorrhoid laser surgery has several advantages over traditional surgery.
• The laser produces no smoke, steam or other emissions that could obstruct a doctor’s view.
• The incisions made with a laser are “sealed” and tends not to bleed.
• A laser is a precise instrument and lessens the chance that the surrounding tissue will be damaged.
Along with hemorrhoid laser surgery’s advantages there are several disadvantages that you will need to be aware of before you decide on this form of treatment.
• Due to the heat of the laser, there is a chance of fire during laser operation.
• Laser equipment is expensive to buy and maintain and the cost gets past unto the patient.
• They have less expensive methods of preventing bleeding that works just as well.
• Doctor’s and surgical staff are required to wear protective goggles due to the fact that lasers are invisible.
Although the advantages outweigh the disadvantages for many people, hemorrhoid laser surgery is fast becoming the method of chose for hemorrhoid suffers. Laser surgery often results in the patient healing faster and being in less discomfort than with traditional surgical methods.
Procedures performed with the aid of lasers can be completed quicker and with less difficulty for the patient and the doctor alike. Generally a hospital stay is not needed when using this method.
If you have hemorrhoids that are not able to be treated using organic methods, you may want to consider hemorrhoid laser surgery. Before you decided on any course of action, be sure you consult with your doctor and go over the pros and cons for your particular case.
So after three kids, I have some permanent irritating hemorrhoids and I want to have the surgery to remove them. My doctor is also recommending the surgery however, I’ve heard that the recovery is very painful. Has anyone had this surgery? If so, please let me know how bad the recovery was.
I heard that if you have the surgery – they can still come back. What’s the point in having it done? Is it really worth it?
I mean lets say you start eating a high fiber diet for like a year and the hemorrhoids disappear but then you slack off. Will the hemorrhoids pop back up immediately? Is surgery the only way to get rid of them for good?
I’m Worried Because My Father Has A Hemorrhoid And He Has To Go Through Surgery. I Want To Know If It’s A Safe And Short Procedure And If He Would Be Fine Later On After The Surgery. Has Anyone Ever Had A Hemorrhoid Surgically Removed?
I just had it done with laser, 3 large clusters I was told. It is now on day 5 after and I am counting the days. even the hours! until the time I have "heard" I will be back to normal.
If you rate giving birth on a "Pain-scale" of 1 to 10 and it comes in at a 5 then this is so far off the end, I would have to give it a new number of it’s own. Maybe 20?
If anyone has has this procedure recently and can give me a timeline, a REAL timeline, for recovery, just knowing when it will end would make me feel a lot better.
Also if you know of any support groups where people who are in recovery or familar with this situation can "chat", it would be nice to hear from other people.
I just had external hemorrhoid surgery a few days ago. How soon after surgery can I have sex? Will it hurt? Is it possible to hurt my sphincter?
Not a sex addict but sex urges are more intense when you know you can’t do it…lol
