Okay, I’ve been plagued by hemorrhoids since having my daughter in Dec. 06. Until now, I’ve been able to ignore them after using the supposotories my obgyn gave me at my 6 week followup, and taking lots of warm baths and pushing them back inside. But earlier, I noticed just a clot of blood on the toliet paper, and my most recent BM had massive amounts(in my opinion) of blood in the toliet bowl, where the entire bowl was bright red and I could hardly see the product of the bowel movement through it all. This is sudden, and creeping me out. I have soft bms and control the amount of fiber I get, so I don’t have to strain. So now, I need to get checked out after researching, but am a little confused, so:
What kind of doctor do I need to see? I have women’s healthcare only and am only covered to visit a family planning clinic.
Is it completely urgent, or do you think it will stop in a few days? I don’t have a lot of pain, just burning and itching.
How long do I wait before seeing a doctor?
Also, it burns a bit, besides taking a sitz bath( not possible, for at least 3 hours, until my toddler goes to bed) or using creams that I don’t have access to or money to buy, are there any home remedies? I can’t even use ice because I have no ice packs or ice cube trays to make any in my tiny freezer(I’m out of baggies too, lol)
I suffer from both external and internal, although I’m not sure what size they are, lol, if that makes any difference.
How much do these fixative procedures cost if not covered by insurance?

Okay, I do have medicaid, but as I said, they will only cover women’s health issues at a family clinic(in PA at least).
And no, unfortunately we don’t have any extra food, peas or otherwise, and literally 26 cents to last us until the wednesday after next, so I can’t even take the bus to the store if I had enough to get a tube of cream , and we need food and milk first. Thanks though…

It looked like razor burn, or ingrown hairs at first. It started itching, then the skin went raw. It started after I used Tucks cream for the first time, but I don’t believe it is an allergic reaction. Everything kind of went south down there at once. I developed hemorrhoids out of nowhere, that sort of traumatized me. The stress could have very easily brought on shingles. I have had chicken-pox so I can get shingles. I am a male, 31 years old, extremely casual smoker (about 4 days a week, 4 cigarettes a day), I don’t drink. I eat healthy but I don’t exercise, though I am mobile and thin (6′0 155 lbs). I’ve had this problem with my groin for a few weeks now. Does anyone have any answers? This is hell over here.

I am a 34 year old male, I have had this problem for about 6 weeks now and it is killing me. When it 1st started happening i went to my regular doctor and he said it looks like a hemy down there so he gave me procto Foam, that burnt so bad when trying to use it i stopped!! 3 days later the itching got so bad i went to the ER and that doctor looked for hemorrhoids and felt inside and found nothing!! She thought maybe pinworms!!So now i just went to the Gastroenterologist 3 days ago and had a colonoscopy done. He found nothing!! Not even palyops,hemorrhoids,phishers,pin worms, all normal!! So he took a biopsy of my anus, im waiting for the results now.
At times the itch is a little and at other times its crazy!!
The itch is mostly the outside but when it get intense it feels like its right inside the aus a little. It seems to be in 1 place most of the time.looks like you have a vein or something that runs from your balls to your anus? right in that area of the anus is most of itchin
So it would be my anus torwards my balls that seems to have all the problems. Can that vein or what ever it is ruuning from my balls cause this problem? I think it runs from your balls.

And what other doctor can i go see, i need this resolved, im not living like this the rest of my life!!!

Yesterday in the shower I felt a pea sized lump around my anus. I looked it up and the possible causes are colin cancer and hemorrhoids. Obviously I prefer it be one over the other. I have rarely noticed some dried blood on my toilet paper, but never payed much heed. Im just that kind of guy. On further inspection, the ‘lump’ is hard, not round, and sort of pointed. It sits just above (or below..it’s difficult to get oriented) the anus and will move a little bit. It’s painless though. I don’t really get any itching. I do do allot of standing, about 7 hours a day on average and I understand that can cause them. I’m 23 though, not 50. What do you think?

I’ve noticed that when I go to the bathroom my stools are covered in blood. It doesnt hurt, though. I looked up hemorrhoids, but i dont have any bumps or itching or burning. I know it could be internal, but is there any way to find out without going to the doctor?
What can I do before I make an appt.

I’ve been having some pretty intense bouts of anal itching. Originally, I thought it was hemorrhoids, so I bought the Preperation H wipes & they don’t do anything to ease the itching. I already had an appointment at Planned Parenthood, so I had the clinician take a look back there & she said she didn’t see anything. Should I trust her opinion since she’s not technically a doctor? I mean, I don’t know what to do. Sometimes it’s so serious I can’t sleep (although the itching isn’t always at night time). This has been going on for about 2 and a half weeks. I’ll go days with no itch at all, then it’ll come back full force. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be? I don’t think it’s an anal fissure. When I feel my anus, I feel a very tiny bump but I don’t see that tiny bump causing all this itching. I can’t imagine that if it was pinworms that my Mom wouldn’t have it too, as we share the same toilet & everything.

Also, can I take an over the counter pinworm medication without a pinworm diagnoses just to see if it works?

It started about 4 days ago one of my Hemorrhoid’s popped out. My doctor gave me proctofoam hc and Ultram for the pain, because she said there was a blot clot in my Hemorrhoid. Now my question is, every time or most time I have a bowel movement like 1 or 2 more of the Hemorrhoids pop out. I used the proctofoam hc once, and the next morning there was only 1 Hemorrhoid, but I think I may have had like a allergic reaction to it, because I woke up feel very lightheaded, and felt like I intoxicated in a sick way. I finally threw up a little, and it gradaully went away while I was laying in bed, also I was itching a lot. Now I went to the bathroom and the other 2 popped out again, I don’t know if I should use the proctofoam hc again or not. Also the main Hemorrhoid that popped out seems like its bleeding, but not severe, just looks like a tiny dot. I don’t know what I should do.. Any ideas?

I went to the bathroom and went poo. It felt sharp. I wiped and there was a tiny bit of bright red blood. But it wasn’t like a drip or anything. It was just there. I wiped 2 more times and there was less and less each time. I know for a fact it’s not my period.
I’ve gotten two fissures before. One about 5 months ago, another about 3 months ago.

I’m worried I have stomach cancer because:
- Right now I have a mild heart-burn-ish feeling. (But it might be from the grilled ham and cheese sandwich I just ate.)
- My appetite has been weird lately. I get quite hungry, then when I eat, I lose my appetite faster than usual.
- I randomly lost 8 pounds the other week (Might have been from that stressful week). I am 15 years old, 5′ 10" and I just gained 4 pounds since I weighed myself about 2 weeks ago. I am now 119. (I used to be within 120-125 pounds)

Is there anything wrong? Is it just another fissure?

I’ve recently had a baby & have hemorrhoids still. Lately things have been itching & burning like mad, and bleeding. There was a small clot one day after I tried really hard to go BM.
I’ve only had one partner for the past 3 yrs… & yes, we have done… *that*… only once since the baby’s been born, though, because it hurt & bled like it hadn’t ever done before.

I thought my itchy bottom was hemorrhoids. Then I noticed the family itching. Three weeks had gone by when I called the Doctor. She called in meds which cost about for two treatments, one week apart. The itching improved, but didn’t go away. I got two more treatments this time over the counter (), 1 week apart. We still have itchy bottoms, a total of about 2 months. The doctor said it could be strep. But I don’t think that is possible since none of us has had strep throat. I wash towels every day, change underwear twice a day, vacuum weekly and sheets once a week. I tried looking with a flash light on my daughter and didn’t see any worms. Is it possible that the meds is not working or could this be something else? We also have a high efficiency washing machine. Could the machine not be cleaning the sheets? My husband doesn’t want to spend any more money or go to the doctor.

We also got a rescue dog that has had skin issues. The vet said that dogs and cats don’t get pin worms. He was tested for sarcoptic mange, but came up negative.

i noticed that my bottom was getting itchy two weeks ago. i think it may be a hemorrhoid. it does not hurt, just itches. also, also, the are between my vaginal and my anal seems to be inflamed as well. what can i do to get the itchiness go away!

Ok I had to go to the bathroom a little bit ago. It was quiet hard for me to go since I just had a baby a month ago and I have hemorrhoids. Well I went and when I went to flush I noticed that there were some white things in the toilet that looked like rice but kinds in a c shape. I freaked thinking they are worms. They aren’t moving at all and no itching.Not even from the hemorrhoids. I did eat rice for lunch however I eat a lot of rice and never had this problem. Does it sound more like undigested rice or worms?

Ok I have had 2 children. With my first child i got hemorrhoids while i was pregnant but it was mild. after my first labor though it was very bad BUT after a few months it went away. Now I have had a second child but with this child I had bad hemorrhoids while i was pregnant and they even started before i was out of my first trimister!! Now it has been 11 months since i have had my 2nd child. And this time the hemorrhoids have not gone away!! I tried creams ect before but nothing helped. is it normal to have them this long after having a baby?? Ive been on here reading about hemorrhoids and they only systom i dont have is the itching. i do have bloody stoles and just a very sore pain in general and external lumps. Does this mean i also have them internaly? Should i go see a doctor because mine now need surgery? its been 11 months and they have not gone away not even for one day in this time! i feel them everyday! anyone know what i can do if i need surgery or what did you do? thanks!

I’ve had pinworms like 4 times before and I think I might have them back.

I went to the bathroom and after a bowel movement I saw a little white thing that wasn’t more than the size of a piece of thread off my shirt.
My rectum itches now and then, but now more than a minute if even that, though thats probably because I have an external hemorrhoid.
I heard that there is a pinworm medication that you can get without a perscription. Is that true.

When I sit down or put pressure on the left side of my butt there is pain inside that feels like a bruise. It also feels like it’s pushing on my stomach. I thought it might be hemorrhoids but there is no itching, bumps or anything unusual on the outside.

i am 14 and i went to the bathroom today and i was constipated. after i got out of the bathroom about 5 or 10 mins later i got this really itchy thing in my butt, i look and it was like a ball thing i went online and they said its a hemorrhoid. i don’t know if i should be worried and tell my mom or just leave it and wait to see what happens. it really itches and hurts. and im not able to sit or stand for a long period of time. please helps thanks

I’m not sure what I have wrong with me. About 5 days ago I realized I have a pretty serious anal itch. It’s driving me nuts. Nothing makes it stop. It comes and goes all day long, but usually gets better at night time (which is the opposite of what pin worms would do). It’ll itch for a minute, then stop, then start itching again a minute later. I remember going to the ER last summer & they told me I had an internal hemorrhoid that was bleeding. I have an appointment at Planned Parenthood tomorrow, but I’m almost in tears because I can’t even sit still. It’s embarrassing to have to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes & wipe to relieve the itch. I’ve tried Anusol, but I realized that the tube expired in 1995 so that may be why it didn’t work. My Mom is bringing me home Preparation H wipes to see if they work.

anti-itch creams don’t work. the grease makes it itch worse. and I can’t walk around with a slimy butt the rest of my life.

Roughly about 2-3 weeks ago my anus got itchy when I pooped. Then about 2 1/2 weeks ago, i had a little blood in toilet when i looked @ poop. Now when i take a poop, it hurts like HELL. itches really bad on the toilet seat. Even before i sit on the toilet it itches pretty bad. And still hurts after wards And when I came home today from the gym, i was just about to jump in the shower, but then i felt like a jolt of pain in my anus, and it really iirritated my body. right now it feels stable, but when i have to go poop, i’m really scared and nervous. i just turned 17 and I’m a boy..can someone tell me what’s happening? is it hemorrhoids?
@Barcode, i am not eating any junk food at all. I am an athlete. I do boxing, and weight lifting. i drink 1/2 gal milk a day, and drink 8 glasses of water a day. i also do eat a good amount of fruits and veggies. and only on special occasions i eat sugars/sweets/deserts….
