I´ve heard that reading in the bathroom causes hemorrhoids.
Is this true?
And if so, what is the explanation to it?

Cuz I´ve read while on the bathroom for all my life without ever having had the slightest problem.

The situation is bad & its been almost a year. I went to a doc 10 days ago, he gave me the steroid suppositories to use for ten days. I did that, now I’m starting another 10-day regime.. Its not helping at all. Doc insists that surgery really doesn’t work, and the recovery is 2 weeks of pain.

I have bleeding hemorrhoids. How do I protect my underwear ? I’m going to the doctor for laser treatment but it will take a month for them to stop bleeding.

for about 3 months now i randomly get a dull pain in my lower left abdomen. most of the time it comes with painful bloating (to the point where it hurts to walk/stand up straight. i have also had some bright red blood on the toilet paper after i use the bathroom. my doctor said the blood might be hemorrhoids, but i feel like all of these symptoms might be related?

I have had constipation for 2 years now, and I’m trying to cure it naturally, as I don’t want to become reliant on laxatives. I eat at least 25 grams of fiber a day, drink water until my pee is clear, and exercise for half an hour or more daily. Optional: If I take citrucel as a last resort, will I become reliant on it?

If it helps, I had a habit of holding it when I was younger, so do I need a colon cleanser to fully regulate my bowels, as I have lost use of my defecation reflex? I currently use Preperation-H also, so something that would cure hemorrhoids as well would be nice.

I asked my gyno about a hemorrhoid tag that i’ve had for a year, and she told me that it won’t go away on its own and they only way to get rid of it is surgery. Is this true? It’s not painful, but I do feel self-conscious about it.

I suffer from hemorrhoids, and am pretty familiar with having some blood in my stools, however every once in a while, I get quite a bit of blood (as in the blood will drip, rather than just seeing blood on my toilet paper. When this happens it usually continues for a day or two. Sometimes this is accompanied by narrow stools, which I heard was a symptom of colon cancer.
Is there a possibility that the bleeding is from cancer not hemorrhoids? The blood is bright red, it happens about once every two weeks, and the narrow stools is also occasional, depending on what I eat.

I recently realized that I have hemorrhoids but I won’t have health insurance for a while and i was wondering if they can turn dangerous if left untreated for a while.

Also, if I use aloe from a plant on the area, could this be dangerous?

I am 38 weeks pregnant with my second, and I have had a problem with hemorrhoids since I was pregnant with my first and as soon as I thought they were going away, they got worse. My diet is fine, I clean thoroughly after every bowel movement, not having any BM issues, I have tried many topical ointments and nothing seems to help. The doctors said they could do more after I have my baby so I’m looking more into surgery or something that my insurance will cover. But before I have to resort to that, does anybody know anything that actually WORKS? And I mean showing a big difference kind of work. Since yesterday they have swelled massively for no apparent reason. I understand that most of you will say that since being pregnant, the extra weight has taken effect but I can assure you that’s hardly an issue. Please help. Thanks.

This may be a bit of too much information but I took a really bad period on Saturday (severe cramps that caused me to pass out) and bright red heavy bleeding and by Sunday I had to call the doctor on call who advised me to take nurofen and go to bed. Soon after this was done I started having huge blood clots, the size of the palm of my hand, as well as the heavy bleeding. I was then taken to hospital as a suspected miscarriage. After urine and blood tests I was told that the pregnancy tests showed negative so I was referred to gynaecology and had an internal scan and smear test done. I was sent on my not so merry way with prescription’s for Tranexamic and Mefenamic acid and a letter for my GP. On Monday I made an appointment with my GP and she informed me the letter stated "PCSO?" so this is what they’re assuming I have until the results come back, I guess. Anyway the tablets have died things down a bit but for the past 2 days I’ve been waking up with an uncomfortable urge for bowel movements for about an hour and soon it became really painful to pass a stool. I called the doctor who told me the Mefenamic acid causes gut upset which is probably the cause for setting me off for having bowel movement. She also said the pain may be endometriosis in the rectum which is more noticeable while on a period and because I had been having so many bowel movements, they were irritating it. Since the phone call though I haven’t been able to pass a stool because the pain is literally deadly. I burst into tears and without realising I stop myself before anything comes. I then had a feel and I feel about 3 lumps there and now I’m thinking it’s hemorrhoids? Could this be caused by so many bowel movements? And does anyone know any quick relief for this pain because the need to have a bowel movement is so uncomfortable and I’m sure the longer I leave it, the worse it will be. I read about sitz baths and it sounds like something to consider. Has anyone tried it/know where I could buy one?

I can’t take it anymore. For many years whenever it gets below a certain temperature I get this horrible cough. My throat gets a lot of saliva in it, so much so that I gag!! It’s horrible! I also have a hard time sleeping because I feel there is stuff in my throat. In addition, sometimes I get a very itchy rear end. I think it’s do to hemorrhoids. All these symptoms are wearing me out. I don’t want to get a scope put down my throat but I guess I will have to sooner or later. Am I dying?

I recently discovered (on wednesday) that i HAVE hemorrhoids i apply preparation H and have been taking in more fiber like everyday and i have taken sitz bath and i think the swelling has gone down. they do not hurt, or bleed sometimes they itch or sting a
but that happens sometimes when i apply the prep h. i have read so many horror stories of how they stay inflammed for ever and you are never able to be normal again and you have to CONSTANTLY watch what you eat. Im only 18 and will be entering college soon i

i went to my doctor yesterday because i found a lump on my anus, she said it was a hemorrhoid, or rather, ‘it look’s like you’ve got a small pile’ which didn’t exactly fill me with confidence.

i got some cream which i picked up today, but, because i’m only 18, it doesn’t bleed and it doesn’t really hurt, would she just fob me off when it could be something more serious? cancer’s what’s bugging me. would the hemorrhoid cream still bring it down if it was a tumor?
and i don’t have an appetite, but that’s only since i found it, could it be the fear?

Recently, I went for my weekly massage. During the massage the masseuse found a perturbance at my anus. An external hemorrhoid, or so I thought. She said, "I fix." and went to her dresser and took out a small jar of ointment and began to rub in onto what I thought to be an "external hemeriod". She rubbed it for about 30 minutes, well beyond the point of when I should have been getting my bj. BUT, the marble sized hemeroid vanished. Like majic, no pain, no nothing. It was amazing. She called the ointment "Gez-ine". Pronounced gezzing, I called it fabulous, but here’s the thing. Now I can’t maintain an erection. Is it possible that my prostate had dropped and it was not a hemeroid at all. And the "massage girl" really rubbed my prostate into nothing, or will it come back. I tipped her her really good too. I am suffering from bleeding hemorrhoids for sometimes. It is external and everyday i watch fresh blood oozing out from my rectum at the time of passing bowels. Initially I ignored it and thought it’ll get healed instantaneously but now I hve become anemic.

1. Should I go for a surgery or surgery will not cure the problem? .
