BS in my senior years, they really are bothering me more. I’ve kept them under control (so far) with medicated wipes, suppositories, and creams. Some days though, like today, after several trips to the bathroom, they are giving me more discomfort. Then I’ll be ok for several days. Can one just ‘tolerate them’ for life or do they always have to have surgery in time? thanks–yanksgirl

I’ve been readign contradicting information on the treatment of hemorrhoids lately. On the one hand, a lot of sources say that sitz baths are really helpful and they recommend doing them 2-4 times daily. On the other hand, a lot of sources say that you shouldn’t sit on the toilet for too long because that put more pressure on the hemorrhoids. I’ve been doing the baths and the latter seems to be correct. I feel a lot more discomfort and the situation seems to be worsening. Am I doing anything wrong??

I had my baby 2 and 1 week ago (was induced and in labor dor 24hrs but ended up in a c-section). In the hospital they gave me a lot of stool softners and due to that I got diareah. I came home after the 4 days in the hospital and everything I ate I ended up with a bowel movement. Well, due to that I now have internal hemorrhoids. MY GOD they are horrible and so painfullll!!! Even my vaginal area hurts at times. Has anyone experienced that vaginal pain also or is it just me (usually after bowel movements)? And are you cured or still with the hemorrhoids? What did you use or do? PLEASE HELP!! I can’t stand this discomfort anymore and what worries me the most is the vaginal preassure (pain at times).

I just thank my lucky stars I had a cousin who at my baby shower gave me a care package. Inside were Super Huge Maxi Pads, A giant bottle of Tylenol, Tucks Pads, Hemorrhoid cream, a squirt bottle, 3 waterproof bed pads, disposable breast pads and nipple cream. She prepared me big time.

No one told me how much I would bleed and for how long .
After you deliver the placenta the nurses come in and push on your tummy every 30 mins making blood and fluid gush out.
This finally stops about 5 days later. You need to spray water down there to clean instead of wiping after going to the bathroom, TRUST ME YOU WONT WANT TO WIPE. I did not stop bleeding for a month and a half light for the last 3 weeks.

Oh my god I had stitches ouch.
Cramps ouch.
Forgot to eat, by 8pm i had the shakes and only then would i remember to eat.
Boobs in pain from breastfeeding and the pump.

I did not get my libido back until my daughter was 14 months and now stronger than ever.

Due with # 2 in Aug.

I don’t understand… I drink lots of water, eat only whole grains, eat tons of vegetables, I don’t force my stool… I don’t pick up heavy things… I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. What else causes hemorrhoids? I plan on seeing the doctor in the next month or two… but I don’t have insurance, so I have to wait Please, any help is greatly appreciated.

This has been going on for a little over forty-two hours, and even though I’ve had them for about a year, I’ve never actually had any symptoms except for the occasional bleeding. (Smaller than a pea about once a month.) I have been using hemorrhoid cream everytime it gets to hard for me to handle (but it’s gotten pretty bad) and the cream won’t really make it stop…. please,
can anyone out there tell me what to do? Advice on how to sooth the burning/itching?

The doctor said he wouldn’t bother with it, but I think it’s embarrassing. He said there was nothing I could do short of surgery but someone has to know a home remedy or something for this. I read these were common, then why am I the only person I’ve ever know that has had one? Someone give me some feedback here, please.

I’m having trouble figuring out exactly what it is that I have, I will be going to a clinic after I get back from the vacation I’m currently on but in the meantime I would like to try to determine what it is. First of all, I’ve only had one sexual partner. We had unprotected sex and I found out later that he has slept around. I haven’t been sexually active in a year but I know that HPV can lay dormant for months. Forgive me for being so crude about this but I need to give you the details. Back in October I noticed a small lump on my perinium, extremely close to my anus. My back end had been itching a lot as well so I did some research and found that it was probably a hemmorhoid so I bought some prep H and started applying it to the area. I have to admit that I didn’t apply it regularly and only iced the area a couple of times. I had noticed another little lump forming but since then it has disappeared. I took a mirror in the bathroom and saw that I do in fact have internal hemmorhoids, possibly a thrombosed one because my anus is swollen in some parts and dark pink. I’m constipated frequently from medication, I’m sitting down for a good portion of the day, and my diet is poor. Since then the bump that I found has gotten smaller but hasn’t gone away. Do you think this could be an anal wart? and if I go to a clinic will they even be able to treat it if it is a hemmorhoid?

This is a phenominon that me and my staff have been noticing more and more here lately. Particularly the women seem to be sensitive in the anus and rectum discussion and people always fidgit and squirm every time I talk about a perfectly legitimate form of medicine and it makes me scared because I am worried they wont recieve proper care and could be killing themselves (colon cancer, etc) . There is a perfect example that stands out in my mind: A 64 Year old retiree who was refererred to me from his family doctor for severe hemorrhoids. When I say "severe" I mean he looked like one of those baboons in africa or something. Anyway he had neglected to mention his problem for almost 20 years, during that time I could have saved him an enormous amount of pain and misery if I had caught it earlier. I was so upset that I decided to put an add on billboards all over town reminding people to see the proctologist every 3 years and I used a close-up, digitally enhanced photo of that man’s mangled anus in an effort to "shock" people, actually we finished putting up the last one just now and it looks great. Maybe we will get a response now. Will let you all know

I had anal leakage since november and I went to the doctor recently and he said i had hemorrhoids. i think i have hemorrhoids too because anal leakage is sympton of hemoirrhoids and it also hurts to fart and have a bowel movement in my tailbone area. he perscribed me with a cream that i apply inside my rectum. I am almost 14 weeks pregnant, and as my niece would say I have a bad case of "Itchy Bum". I know it’s not because it’s dirty, since it itches even after I take a shower or wipe with hypoallergenic wipes. I am a nanny and my first thought was worms (that’s one of the first things they train you in child development) but I got tested and it’s not. My hubby says he doesn’t think I have them because they are painful, not itchy. The problem is that sometimes there is a stab of pain, so I’m thinking I probably have them.

Anyway, how can I know and what can I do about it? There is nothing worse than walking down the street like a duck because my bum is itching. HELP!

As most of you know, Wal-Mart’s security system beeps when something you bought wasn’t properly deactivated. Someone asks to look at your items, find what it was, make sure it’s on your receipt, deactivate it, and send you on your way. Most customers are made to feel like they have to to prove their honesty. But it is voluntary. And I went along with it every time without thinking. These constant false positives are supposed to scare thieves into not stealing.

I know a girl who can’t weigh more than 92 lbs who was strong armed against her will back into the store by a Wal-Mart employee to go through her, I’ll just say personal items, right in front of everyone. She was humiliated. To me, strong arming her back into the store is assault.

I let her know that after she has paid, been issued a receipt, she now owns all the items just as if they were the contents of her purse. And at that point it’s her choice. The only exception is if someone saw her leave without paying they can detain her for theft as a citizen’s arrest. Wal-Mart even hires guys to walk around the store and pretend to shop just to catch people who do this, but they have to see it. And if they do that falsely, they will be fired and possible sued!

I decided personally that I would politely decline to play along in the future just for her and to make a point that it is a choice and you don’t have to publicly have them sort through your condoms, jock itch spray, enema, hemorrhoid cream, tampons, summer’s eve, etc. I’d rather not have my friends and neighbors stand around to see what made the thing go off! Does this make me look suspicious? I really don’t care. I just say, "I’m sorry, I’m in a hurry, and I need to be leaving." And I’ve been encouraging everyone else to.

Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to releive hemorrhoids??? I had a baby in December and unfortunately delivery probably caused the hemorrhoids….I have tried the cream and that does help a little…

I recently had a bout with diarrhea from taking amoxicillin. I had a cold so the doctor prescribed me amoxicillin for the antibiotic. Today I’ve had frequent diarrhea as a result. Could it have possibly caused me hemorrhoids? It has been itchy and irritable, but no blood or anything. HELP!

The problem starta month ago when i saw a big pimple around my anus. I went to my doctore and he said it is a hemorrhoids. he gave me some medicine that I used and looks like the pimple is gone now, but I still have the itchiness. the itchiness is bothering me alot and I don’t know what to do. I went to my doctore again but he said the the the pimple is gone, so I do not whatelse it could be. He dad not give me any other medicine and said it might be some kind of allergy. I am still suffering a lot off itchiness every day and don’t know what to do.

Ok, so two weeks back I got a *AHEM* hemorrhoid with all the usual symptoms i.e very sore and annoying and a large-ish soft lump on the outside, and it even bled once. The pain has died away but now I am left with a hard, smaller bump where the softer painful one was and it doesn’t bother me, and I am wondering how long does it take to go away completely? Will the body absorb away the blood that is inside the thing on its’ own?

I’ve been eating really unhealthy (junk food, restaurants) since I was 18. I’m 25 right now. My body is really strong but its been responding to my unhealthy sedentary lifestyle. Like I have hemorrhoid issues, I already went to the doc, I got the lecture on what to do.

I have 2 small anal fissures, they’re ok, manageable at this point. I’m scared to where this might lead. Is it too late? Someone please gimme some advice. I don’t want this to lead to anal cancer or any cancer or any disease actually. Lately I’m starting to lose interest in fast food, its not satisfying and I hate what its doing to my body.

I’m just ready to change. I just hope that its not too late. I don’t want to end up with all sorts of diseases. My mom works with old people and they tell her all the time "oh if I had known I’d live this long then I would have taken care of myself more."

I don’t want to be like that. I know we all age but I want to do it as best as possible.

I get paranoid very easy and stressed out I think I have anxiety. I feel a constant weight on my chest like if you feel really guilty but I have nothing to feel guilty about. I get really jittery and I feel light headed and dizzy. I feel like I am about to throw up especially when I smell food whither I like it or not. I eat a little bit but I get terrible gas and can not breathe. Sometimes I feel pain in chest, side,and where my hip and leg meet. I know I sound stupid and I am rambling but try to help me please. ^-^
p.s.- lately I have been having difficulty having bowel movements and my dad figures hemorrhoids I have hemorrhoids because I have all the symptoms like little bit of blood in my poop. I was wondering if it could be just paranoia, anxiety, hemorrhoids, and/or asthma
And just to let you know I am only 15.
