My dog is constantly licking his own anus. I asked a neighbor that had a dog that did that before he died. He said that it was something to do with anal glands and them getting old. If this is the case, which my dog’s anus seems swollen a little, is this a form of hemorrhoids? My neighbor did not know how to treat it, and I can’t have the dog around when visitors come to my house. Will Preparation H take care of this, or should I put a bullet in his skull? (Just kidding on the last part, so don’t start throwing me PETA type threats.)

I’ve recently had a hemmoriod removed. Its been 2 days after my surgery and i have so much pain. It burns so much down there and the worst thing is i havent had a bowel movement in like a week. Is there anything i can take that can make me go to the bathroom? its not that i cant, but it burns soo much and theres so much pain that i dont no wat to do with my self. I’ve never been in so much pain my whole entire life. I cant walk nor sit.

Please only reply if you actually have advice for me, from experience, please….. I have a small hemorrhoid that hurts and bleeds when I wipe, and itches when I wash in the shower. I have talked to my doctor about my options, and I decided I would try an over the counter medication before anything else. So, I am wondering, what should I try? What product works best for you? Is there any medication or brand I should avoid? I really don’t even know what’s out there at this point.

I’m embarrased to say this but i’ve to. My farts made me a thing of joke in my workplace.So to avoid further embarassment, I decided to hold farts come what may as long as I am in my workplace(I work for 9 hours).I am doing this for about a week now and I want to know if holding Farts cause hemorrhoids(piles) because I am now experiencing little pain in the anus region.

For the past few days i’ve been having extremely bad pain in my rectum area making it hard for me to have a bowel movement. I went to go see one of the midwives today at my doctor’s office and told her about it and all she said was to drink more water and increase my intake of water. She was in a big rush and acted like she had no time to answer any of my questions. (This is the first time i’ve seen her – I see a different midwife every time I go) When I got home I started looking on the internet to see what could possibly be causing this pain and every symptom you get with a hemorrhoid is what i’ve been experiencing – itchiness,slimy stuff when I try to make a BM (tmi,sorry) and the horrible pain. I was just wondering what I could do to relieve the pain to help make it easier for me to have a bowel movement. Would a stool softener work? Please no rude or immature comments. Thanks!

Is there anyway to cure hemorrhoids at home?

Okay so Ive been feeling weird sitting down sometimes almost like Maybe there was an accident Or something,and then I would check constantly and there was nothing there, Nothing in my pants, And just thought I was imagining and felt itch butt… Sorry tmi… well i took a mirror, and I have at least one hemorrhoid its coming out of my anus…. Im really embarrassed, And Im only 25 weeks & 4 days. Ive read you can get pregnancy hemorrhoids and Or from child birth or before. Ive never had any before hand I had once before fissures which were just little cuts that i was given hemorrhoid cream for and they went away. It is painful when i go the bathroom And I just thought It was because my foods being digested more slowly for the baby. Ive missed my doctors appointment because im at my parents house, and in the middle of moving and having to switch doctors so I wont be able too see a doctor for about a month. And was just wondering has anyone had this, and what are the treatments available, During pregnancy and afterwards??? Especially if it wont go away… I read it can clear itself up. But Ive had every crappy symptom that comes with pregnancy so far so im really not thinking its going to go away on its own especially not after giving birth since this is my first baby.

Please any advise from mothers that have had this or know what the options are. Im not going to take anything until I talk to my doctor but i just wanted to know during or after to get rid of them what the options are?

I’m 36 weeks pregnant. About a week ago I started vomiting again. The strain from the vomiting caused hemorrhoids. I’ve been to the doctor and she told me to use tucks suppositories and medicated pads. They were internal but on the verge of becoming external.

Here’s the thing, it’s not helping! The suppositories feel like chalk and the pads only help while I’m using them. The pain is so severe it puts me out of commission for at least an hour or two after every BM. I end up in a heap crying and trying not to throw up from the severity of it all.

Is there anything I else I can do? I’ve tried cold compresses and they don’t seem to help either. I’m at the end of my whits. I’ve tried so hard to keep my spirits up because I know this is the hardest time. But there is so much to do and all I can think about is the pain of my backside.

Oh and just fyi- I’m getting the vomiting in line and constipation isn’t an issue.

So I’m not sure if i have Hemorrhoids or not..The I have 1 or two of those swollen things where my anus is..But there is not itching or bleeding or anything like that. I have been constipated lately so that could be the cause. But are these Hemorrhoids or something else..?

my name is matty and im a 17 year old boy when i pass stool my anus becomes puffy well the rim of my anus does so i geuss i have hemorrhoids and as you cam imagine i dont whant this problem at my age. so i was wonderin if you have had hemorrhoid what treatment did you do or recieve did it work well did it completly clear up the hemorrhoid completely i will be seeing my doc soon hopefully but i am scerrrrd he will say surgerey and i will have to tell my folks wich is embarising so plz tell me all you know about this issue

I am desperately trying to find some hemorrhoids home treatment because it is really embarrassing now. I thought only my grandmother had these.
I’ve heard that there are some home treatments, anything that is proven to work?

1. If they find internal hemorrhoids, will they take care of them then and there, like they do with polyps?

2. I’m supposed to be food-free the day before, but will it be easier on me with the colon cleanser if I "semi-fast" for a few days before that – ie. lots and lots of water and small meals of easily digested food (like vegetables and fruits)?

3. How long will I hurt for afterwards?

4. Why do some people remember parts of the procedure and others don’t? I really don’t want to remember it – can I request a special medication that knocks me completely out, or is it just dependent on how you react to the med?

I am a 28 year old female and I just tested positive for Herpes Simplex 2 by a blood test. I have never had an outbreak that I know of. But, occasionally I get hemorrhoids after having vigorous vaginal sex. I am just learning about herpes and am wondering if I am actually having an anal outbreak and it is not hemorrhoids?
It’s totally embarassing to ask and it doesn’t "look" like herpes or have the symptoms. I am wondering when I will get an outbreak and i have no idea how long I have had it. My boyfriend just had a primary outbreak one month ago which caused our concern. Please advise!
thank you for your responses. I know I have herpes from a blood test and I probably have had hemorrhoids on and off for years. I am just looking for an outbreak of herpes because hemorrhoids is the only strange thing I’ve had "down there." I am not on herpes medicine and they won’t give it to me until I have an "outbreak."

i do use a stool softener and pain killers after using the washroom. doc gave me creams. is there anyone with personal experience someone who actually had it done to give me some details? how long will it truly take for the pain to go away?

I have had hemorrhoids for about 3 years off and on. I have used over the counter meds. My doctor has perscribed supporsitories and onintment when the over the counter no longer worked. My doctor thinks surgery is not needed at this time. Besides fiber and water which I know are importatnt is there are there any natural meds or any other treatments worth trying that won’t be a waste of money. I recently had a baby and five weeks later and having extreme anal pain. I’ve had irritation and itching on-and-off for years, sometimes with a little blood. In the last few months, it’s gotten worse and has been a daily problem. My doctor examined me and diagnosed me with proctitus, although they are the same symptoms as hemorrhoids. He prescribed sitz baths and prescription suppositories. That was a month ago and the problem persists. I’ve been taking 1 sitz bath a day. Should I take more than 1? I did call my doctor and now he’s suggesting surgery, which I would like to avoid! Any suggestions?
