I’m 23 years old. I’ve had problems with chronic diarrhea most of my life. I suspect it to be irritable bowel syndrome. I first started noticing hemorrhoids when I was 18 years old. I haven’t really noticed that they have ever gone away completely. But gradually, they have gotten worse…

I have one that has gotten to be kinda large when it’s flared up, maybe about the size of an m&m candy. I very rarely see them bleed. They cause me a good bit of discomfort, but it isn’t unbearable.

When should I consider it bad enough to see a doctor (when I can’t bear it, perhaps….)?

What about treatment? Is rue care oil a joke? Do doctors steer people away from it? I’d like to avoid surgery if I can.

I have diarrhea fairly often, so don’t recommend that I get more fiber in my diet – that’d make my situation worse. I NEVER get constipated. I’m careful about not eating stuff that provokes diarrhea, but sometimes it’s inevitable. IBS aside, suggestions for the hems?

24M, I have had 3 episodes bright red blood coming out right after a BM. I have tenderness in my left side radiating into my back. My history of other symptoms include weight loss, nightsweats, anxiety. My doc did the finger test and ruled out fissures & hemorrhoids and anything obvious. Any ideas on what this may be?

i wasn’t sure what it was at first, but not i’m pretty sure its hemorrhoids. so i went off to the drug store and bought some hemorrhoid cream and wipes, but my back still feels like it is on fire!!! what else can i use or try to get some relief?????
ha! i just read what i wrote and realized there are a couple of errors—- first one, now i know what it is (it wasn’t supposed to say not), and the second one, says my back is still on fire– not my back, but my back end!!! i guess pain has a way of getting to you mentally too, huh?

I have itching around my anal area, following all the way up the crevice. I do not believe it is hemorrhoids. The condition seems to worsen with each time I use the bathroom and have to wipe. If I try to apply any medicine, the medicine burns the entire area. I’ve tried stool softeners and other things, thinking that maybe I’m having to wipe too much and too vigorously, but they don’t help this problem. The only thing that helps is if I don’t have to wipe much for a while, or sometimes putting trible antibiotic ointment for several days in a row helps. I also have stinging bumps appearing on my cheeks directly next to the crevice, on both sides. They appear like pimples but rarely form heads. Once they have been there for several days, I can sometimes squeeze clear liquid out of them if I squeeze really hard. I’m not sure if that’s related to the itching in the sphincter and anal crevice or not.

Can someone please offer suggestions? I have no insurance…

i am going to lose my mind completely. i just demolished a bunch of things in my room because of this hemorrhoid pain that’s useless, pointless worthless evil. suppositories useless, 5 minutes of relief. big deal. sitz bath most useless of all. icepack, only slight relief while shoved up rectum. i am 29 years old. have had constant pain from hemorrhoids for 4 years now. completely losing mind. preparation-H worthless. lasts about 2 minutes relief. constant stabbing pain. can’t even sleep anymore. want to murder this hemorrhoid. want to kill its family. only can think horrible angry thoughts from this constant pain. worthless doctor prescribed to eat bananas and rice.no painkillers? there is only one solution, painkillers. i don’t care. i dont care about anything except to murder this pain. kill this worthless scumbag useless pain, worthless hemorrhoid. worthless scum evil devil hemorrhoid must be murdered. no escape, no escape from this murderous evil hemorrhoid destroying my mind. as far as I can tell i should get my hands on some painkillers and then who will be laughing. i will be laughing at this evil scum, worthless anomaly of useless scum with no point but my constant agony. if i had the guys i would cut it out with a swiss army knife. it can hear me talking about it. it throbs with murderous pain. does anyone know how to for the love of christ stop this god damned pain

As of two days ago, I now have internal hemorrhoids with no symptoms others than protrusion when I "squeeze" (for lack of a better term). No bleeding, no discoloration, etc… Actually, no discomfort at all, until I try to use the bathroom… I was reading that "rue oil" may be effective at reducing the size? Has anyone used, or know anyone who has used this method? Any other options/personal knowledge on the issue? I am very young to be going through this (22) and if there is ANY known non-surgical way to decrease the size, I would be extremely grateful. Thanks.

This started since became obeast. I do not eat spiced up food, hot suce, or nothing to that matter. I do whipe my buttocks good aftter defecating but after that i get a burning sensation. Today for the first time i put lotion on it

now i know i don’t have a hemorrhoids / I have no problem defecating its only after i do my do i get the symptoms.what is it!

How can you cure hemorrhoids Without surgery?

hemorrhoids? It’s terrible. It’s an itch I cannot scratch in public. Also, sometimes when I go I have a little bit of blood – that’s only been twice though. And, I know it is not vaginal spotting.

I had a piles (Hemorrhoids) operation nine (9) years ago. my doctor told me they piles were removed for good and will never come back in my life. Now, I have developed piles and want to know if indeed they can re emerge following surgery?

I wokd up one morning and my kitten had these long hemmorrhoid-like things hanging out of her anus. She was apparently in pain and was attempting to get them off as she slid her butt across the carpet. My other cat (a male) just sat there watching her. I wonder if he caused this to happen to her by attempting to mate and if they are hemorrhoids?

She was very ill after this. The things were gone like the next day…don’t know how.

I may just be freaking out, but today after i went number two, there was bright red blood on the toilet paper. The stool looked fine, but the toilet paper had blood in it. There is no pain or anything, but i’m pretty sure i might have an internal hemorrhoid.

So my question is, do i have to go to the doctor? I would really like to avoid that type of invasive procedure, who wouldn’t? If i use preparation H or something and it isnt a hemorrhoid is that super dangerous?

I know the difference between an anal fissure and a hemorrhoid (the definition) but i still can’t tell which one I have. I have 2 of them. And one is on the front part and the other is on the back part of my anus, I don’t know if that helps determine. I have had them for about for like 7 years now and they are very painful. I’m in my late teens and I want to do something about it before it gets even worse. I don’t have much money to go see a doctor at the moment so I would appreciate all the advice I can get. About two years ago, I developed my first known hemorrhoid condition. After adjusting my diet and adhering to other remedies the hemorrhoid disappeared. Everything has been relatively normal since then. However, about a week ago my hemorrhoid condition came back. This time the hemorrhoid is a bit more pronounced and it appears it has ruptured since there has been some moderate bleeding. I’ve done a bit of research online and it appears many take care of the problem with home remedies. I’m hoping to do so as well by using witch hazel and a number of other suggestions. I’m prepared to see a doctor, but prefer to handle this on my own. Here’s my questions:

1. On average, how long does it take before the bleeding stops?
2. What action has proven to be most effective to stop the bleeding?
3. Can I exercise while it’s in the bleeding condition or should I be resting as much as possible?

Hi there. A couple months ago I got a lump near my buttcrack. I realized it was hard to sit down and hurt. I also had anal itching and bleeding. I would see blood in my stool. Its been a couple months but I don’t see blood or have anal itching anymore. I still have a lump in that spot. Could this be hemorrhoids or something else like anal cancer. If it helps, I’m only 18. I am sexually active but never done anal and use a condom every time.
