Can hemorrhoids be caused by lactose intolerance? Can eating too little fat cause this? Does fat aid in digestion? I eat no animal products.

I am a teenage girl with what I am pretty sure is an external hemorrhoid. I have all the symptoms. This is something I don’t want to go to the doctor for unless I really have to.
Bleeding actual isn’t my main symptom. I do occasionally bleed, and the is a lump, but it is mostly itching and irration. I really need to get rid of the itching.

I have extensive external hemorrhoids that may need surgery. There are several different methods of treatment. Anyone with personal experience with this problem? I am 85 years old.

It seems like every 6 months or so I get another hemorrhoid. It takes a while for them to go away. I take everything the Dr. suggested and they still come back. For those who have had surgery at what point did the Dr. recommend surgery? Was it after repeated occurrences? Any help would be appreciated.

Im 15, and for the past month, I’ve had an internal hemorrhoid. When I first read about the symptoms I’ve been having and found out that it was a hemorrhoids, I immediatly started trying to make it better. I’ve been eating lots of fiber/drinking tons of water, exercising more, improving my posture, everything. But, no matter what I do, it still hurts when I defecate, and there is sometimes even blood.

The first time it happend, I told my mom. She doesn’t care. She just told me to use alcohol after I go.

I’ve read more about them and how they can lead to colorectal cancer, if gone too long without being treated. Once again, I told my mom. I told her that I needed to see a doctor, all she does is tell me that its ok, it’ll go away, It’s too expensive to go to the doctor. She told me she tried to get health insurance, but I was denied…

For the past month, I’ve been thinking… "Is money worth more than my health…?"

Is there anything I can do?

I am pretty sure that this is not a serious problem, but I’d like some reinforcement from people who have had hemorrhoids, because the symptoms have changed a bit.

Lately over the past six months or so, I’ve had occasional intense itching on the anus and streaks of blood on toilet paper. I’ve had that diagnosed as hemorrhoidal activity and it’s not a problem. Normally my stools tend to be on the loose side, and diarrhea really causes the hemorrhoid to flare up. Still normal.

Now, for the past few days I have been slightly constipated, straining to push the stool out. And today there was a lot more blood on the toilet paper after my first wipe, then none on subsequent wipes. And then I noticed a wide streak of bright red blood on the stools themselves. I decided that this is now probably a hemorrhoid that is farther inside.

Several hours later I had another BM that was slightly hard to get out, and it was the same thing. More blood than I’m used to seeing on the TP, but only on the first wipe, and bright red blood on the stool in the toilet bowl.

Also, it doesn’t itch very much if at all. Maybe slightly, or maybe I’m imagining it.

So, this is a change in the symptoms as of today. Is this still a normal manifestation of hemorrhoids?

I am 12 weeks pregnant with my second baby. I have had rectal bleeding right after bowel movements the past week or so. Its not much, its just there the first time I wipe after the bowel movement is passed. I dont feel anything down around my bottom area or have any pain or itching. Is this from a hemorrhoid or what? I didnt have this happen with my first pregnancy so I am not sure what to think? what can I do to help them go away? thanks so much!

i have been suffering from hemorrhoids for years now (i’m 24 years old). when i started getting them, i would apply a topical cream like preparation h, and all would be fine days later.

lately, though, the hemorrhoids persist. it seems as if they shrink less easily, and they’re incredibly uncomfortable.

i’ve been concurrently dealing with genital warts. i recently had a procedure to remove some internal and external warts – my doctor did not tell me there was any correlation between the 2 issues, and when i do go for checkups, he is clear to tell me that the problem spots are indeed hemorrhoids and not new symptoms of hpv.

i’m starting to get frustrated. i’m using preparation h wipes off and on, and i’m also using a topical hemorrhoid cream, nupercanal. my colon/rectal specialist told me to avoid hemorrhoid creams with hydrocortizone, as cream containing this can actually promote the growth of more warts.

maybe my colon/rectal specialist sucks. he’s been focused on the hpv, and not the hemorrhoids, and i want to rid myself of both. another doctor told me i should talk to a specialist about rubber banding, but i’m not sure what that entails.

i’m looking for some useful advice from someone who knows what they’re talking about.

Hi, I think I have internal hemorrhoid, and I heard that it is impossible to cure it completely without surgery, is it true? If that is true, how do I know that my hemorrhoid condition is getting better?

My standard short haired chihuahua has what I think is hemorrhoids. What makes me think this is the fact that when I looked him over his anus was protruding out and looked swollen. I am no expert with hemorrhoids but this was my first guess. He has been having straining bowel movements. At first he had diarrhea all the time now he has solid fecal-matter which he struggles to push out. The pieces are broken apart and seem to be connected to a stand of hair every time. I am really sorry if this is TMI but my fiance and I have zip, zero, and zilch money to take him to the vet. So if this sounds like hemorrhoids what should I do to treat it? Are there any at home remedies? If not will he die because of no treatment? Any of you who have experience with your dogs and hemorrhoids I am looking for your answers. Thanks.
I’m dead serious. Neither my fiance and I work. We have no savings. We just hit a crisis not that long ago. I am not an evil person. I love my baby Dinky and I would totally take him to the vet if I had any kind of money. But seriously though. I literally have 0 money between my fiance and I. I feel really bad for my baby but there is nothing I can do for him right now.

2 years ago, i suffered from severe hemmorhoids that i couldnt really move at all. crying every night was my only resort. there were times that even pain killers couldn’t take the pain anymore. done the sitz bath, didnt do much. i lost a lot of weight that time coz i got scared to eat and have BM after. Now, i am having it again everytime i poo. i am not constipated, but my hemorrhoids still come out tho. i would stay up all night crying becoz of the severe pain. i asked m OB abt this, she said, i can have c-section since the hemorrhoids will only get worse bcoz of pushing if i have it normal delivery. she said i still have a week to decide. i just wanna enjoy the after birth and take care of my baby very well. with the hemorrhoids, i think that would be really really tough after birth. ok, i am 17 years old and a male. since november 2008 i have had symptoms like hemorrhoids, i have slight pain when having bowel movement and every once in a while i have bright red blood on the toilet paper, and its hard to have a bowel movement sometimes not like completely constipated but just hard.. what could this be??? i have heard of the same type of symptoms in colon cancer but im 17 years old.. help! i have tried Preparation H wipes and have the cream but half the time i forget to use it so i cant really say that i have completely tried it good.. can hemorrhoids last 7 months or longer ??? and also i haven’t changed my diet any which sometimes helps with hemorrhoids… can anyone help me??
also i have mucus on the toilet paper.. that smells weird ..

I’ve been diagnosed with an internal hemorrhoid about few months ago. The doctor only gave me a Special Dieting List(the one where it indicates what you "can" and "can not" eat). Nothings else. I only weigh 140 Lbs. And what’s more he insists that there is no cure for this type of hemorrhoid.

Is anyone out there, who has/had internal hemorrhoid, knows how to cure or possibly prevent further enlargement of it. Only actual experiences. Irrelevant answers will be reported. Thank You.

This morning I went to restroom and after wards the rectum started burning, itching and had pain in that region. I used Preparation H and also suppositories but it did not help. in last 10 days I had this kind of problem about 2 3 times but after one hour it use to go away. Today I am still suffering with pain/burning/itching. So is there any better medication available which I can use?

I was just wondering has anyone got lazer treatment as well? and if yes do you go back to work the same day or next day? I work as customer service rep. that means I’m seating down at least 8 hours a day and I notice that seating down is not helping? what do you guys suggest? one more thing is it normal for your rectum to steal bleed after getting laser for couple of days or few days?

I get a hearty laugh every time I pass by this clinic up the street. In big blue letters on the side of the building it says "HEMORRHOID CARE CLINIC – REMOVAL BY LASER"..you would think they would at least try not to announce it to the world for the patrons parking there.

I noticed swelling around my anus and looked it up online and realized I may have a mild, early case of a hemorrhoid. I have never bled out of my anus, even though that seems to be one of the symptoms, and it never hurts. I was wondering if I could prevent further swelling/ make it go away without having surgery.
